Nobu Las Vegas Sushi Chef Knife Skills


Tim Oko was my Sushi Chef this evening at Nobu Las Vegas. Chef Oko shared that he has taken about 15 years to perfect his skills as a sushi chef and the art of pearing, slicing and serving is totally phenominal. I would define Nobu’s style of Japanese cuisine  as very modern Japanese that has a extraordinary technique in executing taste from really clean flavors of sashimi to bold flavors in the hot dishes. I just felt that I had to capture Chef Oko’s knife skills as he prepared my first course which is a Sashimi of Blue Fin Tuna and some peppers for artistic value with a very light and clean sauce to compliment the tuna.
